A printable ruler is a ruler that you print onto a piece of paper. Some of you may wonder what's the difference between the printable ruler and a standard English ruler. The truth is that there should be no difference between these two. Your paper ruler should read accurately, as long as the replica you print from the Internet is a standard English. Practice makes perfect, and it will be easy for you when you practice yourself with the ruler's markings.
1), Locate the main numbers on the ruler. A standard English ruler will have numerals 1-12 printed along the length of the ruler.
2), Count the dashes in between the numerals. If you count seven, then you have a 1/8-inch ruler, and each dash is equal to an eighth. If you count 15, then you have a 1/16-inch ruler, and each dash is equal to a sixteenth.
3), Add up the dashes to accomplish the incremental part of the measurement. Add this to the whole inch numeral to get the full measurement, such as 2 1/4 inches.
